Spantik Expedition registration is now open for 2026. Spantik is a 7,027-meter mountain in the Karakoram Mountain range of Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan.
Spantik Expedition is a mountaineering journey to Spantik Peak in the Karakoram, which involves strenuous climbing and trekking at high altitudes. Spantik Mountain lies to the south of the great Hispar glacier, and standing above upper Chogolungma, it offers an attractive climb. The approach path to the beautiful campsites along the Chogolungma Glacier offers vistas of mountain scenery with innumerable high peaks. Spantik Expedition is perfect for every mountaineer to prepare themselves for higher altitude Himalayan and Karakoram Peaks.
Our Spantik Expedition starts from Islamabad. Islamabad International Airport is the nearest international Airport to arrive. Our Representative will meet and greet you at Islamabad International Airport and then transfer you to the hotel, the rest of the day is for rest to recover from the long journey.

Tour Plan :
Day 1: Arrive Islamabad, Pakistan
Arrival at Islamabad International Airport followed by a meet and greet. The day includes transfer to the hotel, expedition briefings, paperwork, equipment checks, and last-minute shopping. Altitude: 540m. Accommodation: Hotel.
Day 2: Travel to Skardu
Transfer to Skardu via a domestic flight or a 2-day drive via the Karakoram Highway if flights are unavailable. The afternoon offers time to explore local markets and ancient forts. Altitude: 2,228m. Accommodation: Hotel.
Day 3: Expedition Preparations
A dedicated day in Skardu for obtaining climbing permits and finalizing logistics. Optional sightseeing includes Kachura Lake and Shigar Fort. Altitude: 2,228m. Accommodation: Hotel.
Day 4: Drive to Arandu Village
A scenic 6-7 hour jeep journey through the Braldu River Valley to Arandu, the final village before the trek. Here, the team meets the porters and prepares for the march. Altitude: 2,800m. Accommodation: Camping.
Day 5: Trek to Chogo Brangsa
Commencement of the trek, walking 6-7 hours through green pastures and rocky terrain along the Bolocho Glacier. Altitude: 3,500m. Accommodation: Camping.
Day 6: Trek to Spantik Base Camping
A 6-7 hour trek across moraines and glacier trails to reach Spantik Base Camp. The site offers views of the Golden Pillar and surrounding peaks. Altitude: 4,200m. Accommodation: Camping.
Day 7: Acclimatization and Training
Rest days at Base Camp focused on altitude adjustment and technical training, including glacier travel, rope techniques, ice climbing, and load ferrying. Altitude: 4,200m. Accommodation: Camping.
Day 8: Climb to Camp 1
A 5-6 hour steady climb over mixed terrain and crevasses to establish Camp 1. Altitude: 5,100m. Accommodation: Camping.
Day 9: Load Carry to Camp 2
An acclimatization day spent carrying supplies to Camp 2 (5,900m) before returning to Camp 1 for the night. Altitude: 5,900m. Accommodation: Camping.
Day 10: Move to Camp 2
A 5-6 hour ascent over steep snow and ice sections to establish a high camp in preparation for the summit push. Altitude: 5,900m. Accommodation: Camping.
Day 11: Climb to Camp 3
A 4-5 hour gradual ascent to the final high camp. The afternoon is spent resting and preparing for the summit attempt. Altitude: 6,400m. Accommodation: Camping.
Day 12-13: Summit Push and Return
A 12-14 hour round-trip summit attempt of Spantik (7,027m). The climb follows a final ridge to the Golden Peak summit, offering views of Rakaposhi, Diran, K2, and Broad Peak, followed by descent to Camp 2. Altitude: 7,027m. Accommodation: Camping.
Day 14-15: Descent to Base Camp
Return journey to Base Camp for rest and celebration of the climb. Altitude: 4,200m. Accommodation: Camping.
Day 16: Trek to Chogo Brangsa
Beginning the trek back down toward Arandu Village. Altitude: 3,500m. Accommodation: Camping.
Day 17: Return to Skardu
Final trek to Arandu followed by a jeep drive back to Skardu for celebrations. Altitude: 2,800m. Accommodation: Hotel.
Day 18: Buffer Day
A contingency day reserved for potential weather delays or travel interruptions.
